The Massachusetts Council of Nonprofits is committed to following best practices for the privacy of our members and those we work with. MCN utilizes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data, in accordance with the Commonwealth’s data and security regulations.
Right to Privacy
It is MCN’s policy to never rent or sell any name or contact information – including email addresses – of our members, customers, or clients to third-party vendors without the expressed permission from our clients.
Professional Directory Profiles
MCN affiliate members’ information is shared through our website. The following information is available by default, and may be modified at the member’s discretion:
- First and Last Name
- Organization Name
- Mailing Address
- Email address
Data Encryption
- All information (financial and otherwise) submitted through our website via the Salesforce portal is transmitted through a 128 bit SSL encryption.
- MCN administrators have the ability to monitor and access all user-requested data extracts and downloads. Sensitive data (including username and/or contact information), if not stored on our Salesforce database, is maintained on a secure server.
- Donations made through Google Checkout are applicable to Google’s privacy policy.
